A half-day workshop to the Norwegian Centre for Addiction Research

11 June 2026

Oslo

I'm going back to my roots soon - to where I got my PhD and began my research career, the Norwegian Centre for Addiction Research at the University of Oslo.

Last year, the Centre used their summer seminar to focus on prompting and the use of AI tools in writing. This year, we'll do a deep dive into AI ethics for researchers, risks and responsibilities of AI when writing, and whether pre-prints are the new AI slop.

We'll talk about some patterns in recent studies among academics:

  • Ambivalence

  • Concealment and self-censoring

  • Inequalities

And we'll work through concrete ethical dilemmas.

  • AI use by students

  • by collaborators

  • while grant-writing

This is an invite-only workshop, but if any of the content sounds interesting, get in touch!
